D. Reid Middlebrooks, PE
Principal, CEO
Reid has multiple years of experience with quality assurance for mechanical systems in new and existing buildings. His passion for buildings and entrepreneurial spirit led him to start Blue Quality Services, an extension of quality assurance and testing services stemming from our parent company Apollo BBC.
In addition to business development, financial strategies, and day-to-day operation and management of personnel and projects, Reid is a technical expert in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems evaluation and design, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) evaluation and improvement, and Building Commissioning. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states.
Gordon Shepperd, PE
Principal, President
With multiple years of experience analyzing failures in existing buildings, Gordon has the necessary skills to know what works and what doesn't when it comes to building design and construction. He is an expert in Structural Engineering, including the design, analysis, and repair of building components, analysis of foundation and soil interaction, and emergency stabilization techniques.
Gordon is also experienced in the installation, assembly, and failure analysis of windows, walls, and roofs and how small problems in any of these components can pose large problems for the building envelope. He holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states.
